Beauty Tricks and Tips.

As we all know, we have our own beauty inside and outside, but I beleive that some tricks and tips can enhance that outside beauty, so I come to you guys today with some tips I found on Glamour.com. Hope you guys enjoy it and hopefully try them out.

Tip/Trick 1: “For those with oily/acne-prone skin: Tea tree oil mixed with water makes a great toner.”

Tip/Trick 2: “Spraying rose water (can be found in local drugstores) on your face and then pressing very lightly with a face tissue helps makeup last longer and gives it an airbrushed look.”

Tip/Trick 3: Monistat Chafing-Relief Powder-Gel makes a great makeup primer….Can be used under foundation and under eyeshadow. It makes wonder, and sometimes even better then tohse expensive primers.
Tip/Trick 4: Try  mixing  a little mineral makeup and moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer. And Your face will  look completely natural! Just make sure you add some moisturizer first to your face. Then sprinkle just a little Bare Minerals Foundation in my palm, squeeze out some more moisturizer (about the size of two peas), mix quickly and smear all over my face.

Tip/Trick 5:  Put on eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible, then use a Q-tip to kinda smush it right into place. Your eyes look defined. Use the eyeliner left on the Q-tip for your lower lash line.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed the tips and get your hands on them.

NY Fashion Week Favs!

After a long period of time without post, I come to you guys with something fresh.
As I mentioned in the previous post I LOVE fashion week. It's like the year starts when Fashion Week happens (silly me).
As I was looking at the fashion shows during NYFW, I found alot of wearable makeup and hair looks. I hope you guys like them and any questions just leave a comment.

Let's get started:

First off: BCBG Max Azria. This loose end bun here is just something so simple, but adds alot to your look.Don't we always have a problem with what to do with the rest of hair, when doing a bun?Sometimes it just doesn't stuck inside the bun, well now you have the option of leaving it aside. Glamour gives you all the details in how to create this look.

DKNY: This look is one of my favorites because it's a simple side ponytail but with the bangs to the side and the very natural look. love love. something I can definitly wear everyday.

Ralph Lauren: This was the simplest look I found but the prettiest. I Can tell this is a pattern of them, always just the "pretty" look but they really WOW us on the clothes.

Lacoste: These smokey eyes were one of the best I found throu out all the shows I looked at. The big puffy side-pony tail as well.Just lovely. This model really pulled this look.

Carolina Herrera: This collection was the one that I loved the makeup the most. It was a mixtures of reds and pinks for the eyeshadow with black, not so much blush, but enough to make the cheaks pop out and somewhat nude/pink lipcolor.

Diane Von Furstenberg: What I loved about this look is how the makeup artist for Diane Von Furstenberg played with the black and silver and the very nude lips.I love how the makeup artist took a step forward and wasn't afraid to go bold with it. Love it.Great look for a night out with the girls.

These were my favorites looks for this Fashion Week. Hope you guys like it and comment on it.Until next Time.Xoxo..

GRAMMY's Do's and Don'ts

The Grammys 2010 was over-the-top spectacle, really, with severed hands adorning pianos, surprise musical guests, bunch of Taylor Swift acceptance speeches for multiple wins. Last, but not least, multiple of hair and makeup choices... Humm, very interesting, should we say. Where to begin with the most waited moment for the music world on Sunday.
Let's cut to the chase then....

The most memorable moment I had was LADY GAGA!!! Could she have done it more differently?
I love love love her makeup, the super pink lips and the Smokey eyes just did it for me. The lips are a summer-ish color and the eyes more of a winter-ish thing, but in her both come out perfect. Talking about the hair?? Not a big fan, if you look closely in the picture it looks like she has a wig and is proud to show it. Well Done in THE MAKEUP and congrats on the awards.

What about Ms.Riri??? Big Wow on the eyes, huh? Her skin color is beautiful and whatever her makeup artist does, it just makes it even better. I love the icy eye shadow and the p-r-e-t-t-y big eyelashes,(way to go in  trying to make a statement). Everything was kept simple; nude lips and a little blush. The simple earrings complimented her face and hair.
OKAY?! What's wrong with this picture? Well basically, everything. Kesha, is a great singer but when it comes to fashion. It's a big no no. Her whole outfit was a huge mess, from the flap girl golden dress, to the Pocohontas hair, and all over the place metallic shimmery eye shadow. (What's wrong with you?). Well taking in consideration that Kesha, herself admitted that when it comes to dressing up she's a total mess. (Well honey, that's why there are so called stylist out there. Ever considered in hiring one? Just a thought.)

That's all folks..Keep tuned for more inspiring posts.

TWIST!!!

What's up with these gorgeous updo's that celebraties are sporting lately???Specially at the Golden Globes. One prettier than the other. (What's next?Grammy's?) Then let's get inspired by the glamorous side chignon Penélope Cruz wore at the Rome premiere of Nine.
Charming huh??

If you look really closely at the shot from the back, you can see that her hair was loosely braided before being twisted up. This helps the hair have that beautiful swooping effect at the crown.
Definitly, trying this out next time something comes up. Enjoy!!!!!!

Nail Polish TREND

Since last year I've been spotting metallic shades on celebs and people around. For Christmas and New Year's I actually wore metallic silver and gold on my own nails and I love it. I never thought those shades could ever be a trend again. But it seems like it has. One of the first celebs that I saw using silver nail polish was Beyonce back at the BET Awards in July '09. Love it, but at the the time I didn't have the guts to use it.

Both Metallic Gold and Silver nailpolish can take you to another level of glam!
But hey!don't stop at only the metallic Gold and Silver, take a step foward and be "bolder" (if that word even exists) try metallic in other shades as well. A nice one is the metallic purple (gotta love purples).OPI carries a really nice purple which i like very much.

1. Curry Up don't be late
2.Happy Anniversary!
3.Licoln Park After Dark
But YES! LEt's be Bold and try on these beautiful metallic colors. They sure will bring an extra sparkle to your outfit.

**OPI nail polish can be found in your local nail salons, or this very cool web site Enailsupply or at Beautysak*

Gorgeous Hair Ideas

As I was browsing throu the internet looking for ideas, I came across this article about hair style ideas, and I thought "why not?". Some of them which I'm dying to try on and some that surprisely I've done it already.
the following ideas are sure to give you a good hair day. GUARANTEED!

Bedhead hair: By far my favorite easy look. To achieve this look, skip the shine-enhancing products. Instead, spritz wet hair with some type of  thickening lotion, then scrunch hair with fingers while blow-drying. Use a 1"to 2" inch curling iron to create a few spirals. DO NOT brush!, just “massage” hair at the roots, --speciall at the back to create a little volumem and voilà, your ready to go.

Ponytail side: I've actually done this a couple times and I loved it. It's a great do for literally, anything. Do the fancy versions by swiping the ponytail to the side and securing it near the nape of the neck. roll about an inch of your hair around it and secure it with hair pins to make it fancier and add some curls to the ends as well.

Bangs: This is for sure a style that shows off your beautiful facial features. I personally fell in love with this look, when The City came out and I saw Erin sporting it, so I just told myself I had to have it. I also saw this look in alot of celebraties and my favorites were  J-Lo, Nichole Richie, Alexis Bledel(Gilmore Girls),Jessica Alba,Rachel Bilson, Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill).

Side Part: Simple and Easy! Sometimes we in such a rush, that there isn't enought time to get ready. So instead of just having your hair split in half, do a side part.Doesn't matter if you’re letting your hair down or pinning some of it back, try separating the hair to the left or right side to make your easy ‘do look like something special.

Accessories: Feel like being playful? Add an accessory to you hair do. A head band, a nice clip or whatever you are in the mood for. It's very simple but it can add alot of glam to a look. Who better to look up to then Leighton Meester's Gossip Girl Character, Blair Waldorf?she has been seen with alot of these accessories on the show.

Hope guys liked it and if you have any other ideas let me know.Stay tuned for more updates during this week.

Golden Globes 2010

First of all today, I would like to congratulate all the winners at the Golden Globes last night (specially Sandra Bullock for best Motion Picture Drama Actress, YAY!). I was very surprised with the winners!!!! However, we're not here to talk about that, but what really matters-- Their looks.. Top hair-dos that I actually spotted were the hair accessory, structure based around waves and curls and the buns(very chic!). Lots of nude lips on the red carpet, and way more  women opting for nude nails then dramatic colors.

Lets just start by the favorite looks:

Elisabetta Canalis (George Clooney's girl): Let's just say everything about her look was amazing. Nude dress, great tan, heavy eyes, amazing cheeks and pinkish lips. Perfecto!
Kate Hudson: Blown away with that flawless makeup, the pulled back hair and the crystal ball earring.
Jennifer Anniston: Simple but so chic. The bedhead hair do, simple makeup and that black Valentino Couture was just stunning.
Kate Winslet: As days go by she looks better and better. The classy black simple dress, hair pulled back, very sophisticated makeup. Got to love her for that.

Sandra Bullock: Let’s just say she was stunning. I don't know, I think this because of her last movie (which she got an award for), The Blind Side, but lately I’m loving everything she does. And for the Golden Globes she just hit the jackpot with this look. The fake short look with waves and curls just made her look chic and her lilac eye shadow to match the dress, pink cheeks and pinkish-nude lips. She also sported the dark gray nail polish (Chanel's spring nail polish). A-mazing!
Penelope Cruz: One thing to say: THAT TAN! Gotta love Spanish people. Loved that she kept simple lips and invested in the eyes.

Stay tuned for more trends and pictures from the Golden Globes during this week!
Xoxo!

MUST HAVE!!!!

For a while now I've been in love with the new fragrance from Marc Jacob, Lola. Daisy's 'vampy older sister'. It's such a heavier and sweeter smell than her sister Daisy. The smell is a mixture of lots of pink peppers, way more of pear, a little whoosh of tart grapefruit to keep it under control (Now smell this ). Daisy's 'older and sexier' sister is a fragrance that is playful, cool and a touch flirtatious. The fragrance has this sexual floral smell to it that it's pretty irresistible.
It can be worn day or night. It's a perfume that I consider a winter fragrance.

Lola comes in 3 sizes, 30, 50 and 100 ml and also a limited edition perfume ring, which is the cutest.

Each bottle is cuter than the other!!!! I'm in Love!
Lola is sold in Major department store ...So hurry and grab yours before the winter is over!
